Removing the stock plate from my VZ61 receivers

The stock denial plate on my VZ-61 semi auto receivers is done as a legal protection.
Once you have a legal pathway to adding a stock onto your receiver, here's how to remove the plate.
This receiver is a random one off the shelf and is not fully finished. Please excuse any blemishes.

Using a dremel tool, make a cut at approximately this location and depth. The plate and pin are completely sacrificial.
Place the receiver on a solid surface in the orientation shown. Using a punch, drive the pin out the top.
Pin removed.
Using a punch again, drive the plate out the side of the receiver. Either direction.
Done.
